Creditors

Formal

A person or company to whom money, or money equivalent, is owed.

Real-world Example

A business owes $50,000 to its suppliers for goods already delivered but not yet paid for. Those suppliers are its creditors, and the amount owed sits as a liability on the balance sheet.
